  • You must have a ProMerchant level subscription to allow for file uploads and automation of account services.
  • You must authorize The Art of Books through MWS before we can interact with any Amazon account. ie.. (amz), (amc) and any of the European Amazon sites(.uk, .de, .fr, .it, .es, or, ame when the European reference is all inclusive).
    • All of the required information you need to authorize The Art of Books for your MWS access is provided directly on the AOB Venue Settings page.
    • Use the link and sign up for MWS.
    • Select to authorize The Art of Books as the Application that will be accessing Amazon for you and enter the Developer ID where requested.
    • Your Seller ID and a Marketplace ID will be displayed as the last step on Amazon.
    • Enter the Seller ID in the white text box corresponding to the Amazon account you are working with on your AOB Venue Settings page.
    • Save the page and watch for the status message on the right side of the page when the page reloads.
    • Note there was no mention of setting the venue as Active. There is no need to set the venue to Active until you are fully set up and ready to hand over the reigns to AOB.

  • Run Inventory Comparison
    • This option stems from being sympathetic to the changes to ISBN/ASIN/UPC's that Amazon does to keep their own data base up to date with the changes imposed by publishers.
    • What this will do is ping Amazon and compare your listings in AOB against what is listed on Amazon then send a report to your email address you have listed with AOB. Find more report details in AMZ FAQ
  • Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA)
    • This option enables FBA settings for your AOB account to list new FBA items and update existing Merchant fulfilled items as FBA.
    • Check the box and save the page.
    • On the listing page you will now find an Amazon FBA option near the middle of the page.
    • Items that are flagged as FBA items will produce a link to your FNSKU in the status banner once the item is created, or updated.
    • It is not required that you use the FNSKU link when using FBA with The Art of Books. You can still print these stickers when you are printing your shipping labels from Amazon directly.
  • Automate Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF)
    • This option allows for the automatic transfer by AOB of your order details for FBA items that have sold on other active venues.
      • Once enabled an MCF link will be placed on your Ship page to display any MCF orders that have come in.
    • When Amazon has confirmed shipment of an order, the confirmation is sent to the selling venue along with the tracking and the MCF order displayed in your AoB account will automatically be placed in your Processed Orders.
      • If for any reason Amazon does not accept the MCF order it will be moved to your On Hold list and the error message from Amazon will display in the Comments section.
      • Locate the order on your On Hold list and you will see a Create MCF option in the Action column to the far right.
      • Clicking the Create MCF option and save the page to resubmit the order in cases where the error is resolved.

    • This function will also allow for a delay in the listing of your FBA items to your other active sites.
      • When this feature is enabled we monitor the listing status of your FBA items and only allow them to upload to any other active venues that your settings allow when they are Active in FBA.
      • If you are active on eBay and you have an order come in as Payment Incomplete that order will be excluded from the automation and you can use the Create MCF option on your ship page to manually create the MCF order on Amazon once the payment is reported as being complete.
  • Amazon's Charge When Ship (CWS)
    • AOB can send order confirmations based on AZ’s CWS criteria if you check the “Charge When Ship” option and save changes.
    • Regardless of the option being found only in the .com settings, it applies to any Active Amazon.
    • We urge you to routinely check on AZ, to insure they are processing the shipping confirmation data we send. In your Amazon account you will locate these reports at Seller Account → Upload Order Related Files. If you notice error reports and are not sure what they mean, please contact AOB staff with the error message.
    • If you do not have this option selected order confirmations are not sent to Amazon at all.
