Image Settings

  • You only have a few options here, but eBay does require images so you will need to fill this section out in some way.
    • Please note that an amazon image URL in the image URL field on AOB will NOT transfer to eBay. Also AoB has no way of knowing which items on eBay have a stock image and which are lacking them.

Pull the image URL from tells the system which field you are using to store the image URL you intend to send to eBay. You can select the image field, or any of the private fields on your AOB listing page by using the drop down box to make your selection. Since the image field is usually populated with an Amazon URL and we can not send those to any other venue most users choose to utilize a private field. Also, if you intend on sending multiple images with any of your listings you will need to use the private fields (pfields) for those and leave the image url field to store images intended for other sites.

Replace the stock photo in the item details with your own image. Refers to the photo in the item details that shows up when you view the listing. Checking this option means that when you click on an item to go to the listing page you will see your image instead of the stock image eBay has on file.

Turn on Gallery Images and use... Gallery Images are the images that show up in the search results and not on the individual page. So depending on the setting you choose in the drop down box you will get:

  • 'Stock Photo' that eBay has for gallery images if they have one.
    • If ebay has no stock photo and you select this then it will not get listed due to eBay requiring an image.
  • 'My Image' replaces all Gallery images with your image in the specified AOB field.
    • If you have no image in that field then it will be left blank and the item will not be able to list.
  • 'Both' means that AOB will send over the image URL from the field you specify. But, if you have no image in the field it will then allow eBay to supply a stock photo.
    • If there is no stock photo nor your own image the item will not list.

Multi-image Setup

  • Visit the your Single List Page Settings and look for eBay Multi-image Settings (about half way down the page) to choose how many image fields to display on your listing page.
If you are already active on eBay through AOB open your eBay configuration page, scroll to the bottom and hit the Save button to Resave your configuration which will pull in the newly released code so that we can successfully pass your images to eBay on the upload. New activations do not need to do this step.
  • There will now be image fields displayed in the eBay Attributes section of your listing page.
    • By default the first ebay image field will fill-in with the URL from the main image field if the image URL is anything other than an amazon image URL
These fields can be overwritten at your discretion.
  • If you plan to upload your eBay images use the following headers: eby_image1, eby_image2, eby_image3, and so on.
Do not use secure URL's (the URL should be http: and not https:) as the uploads will fail.
  • When you enter Image URL we'll upload it to eBay and eBay will store the image, rename it and send the new Image URL back to us. We will then store the new Image URL on your listing page per item.
    • If eBay fails to process any Image URL and the subsequent URL updates as previously described do not take place you will find a red notice of no ebay image next to the ebay image field on your listing page.
      • There is nothing for you to do as AoB processing will re-send the images again for a new listing attempt.
      • If at any time your eBay image field retains the red notice for a period of more than 24 hours contact our staff to assist.
      • You might also want to consider checking any communications from eBay in regard to image errors in case it's actually a problem with the image itself.
  • If at any time you wish to change the image that is associated with an item:
    • Enter the new image URL to the field you're updating
    • Check the box next to the 'Update' option next to the field you are updating
    • Click the Update Listing button.
